BLÜCHER now member of EHEDG

BLÜCHER has attended the work of the European Hygiene Engineering & Design Group which comprises guidelines, test procedures, certification and training within the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. BLÜCHER has long been a pioneer within hygienic design of drainage products, and consequently we want to contribute to the work for better hygiene in the food processing industry.
For many years the hygiene of the processing equipment has been very much a focus point, while the hygiene in buildings often has been less high prioritized. But what we see now is a stronger focus on hygiene in buildings due to the fact that the large producers and the large supermarket chains focus very much on the hygiene, also in the buildings.

Many production plants have experienced that upgrading the drains and floor to the hygiene level now required is very expensive, and therefore there is very much focus on choosing the right solution right from the start.
BLÜCHER has already made some tests proving the high level of hygiene of our products. In carrying out these tests we have considered the EHEDG requirements. And now we are ready to take the next step to incorporate the EHEDG requirements in the work within the organisation.
BLÜCHER still offers to help our clients develop a best practice for drainage within the various areas, dry as well as wet production areas and also specifically for production such as beverage, dairy, meat, general food and pharmaceutical production facilities.
